A Story Spectacular Spotlight

March 14, 2018

My mom recently played the Story Spectacular Podcast for us and we really liked listening to the stories. The host of the Story Spectacular Podcast is named Angela Ferrari. Angela also has written many books for kids. I am excited that I got to read three of her books: Diggers Daily Routine, An Extraordinary Book, and What Do You See.

There isn’t much that is similar between the three books, but the one similarity they do have is they all use rhyme. They are different because What Do You See does not use characters. They are also different because An Extraordinary Book does not have a setting. Diggers Daily Routine is the only book that talks about one character. I liked how they were all different and they all rhymed.

Eleanor’s favorite book was Diggers Daily Routine.  She liked that he went into a cave of very colorful crystals.  She also liked how he did his morning wake up routine. My other sister, Rosalie, liked An Extraordinary Book because she got to use it and play with it by pretending to use the book as a hat.  These books have a lot of things to like for different people!

I think that Diggers Daily Routine is a good book because it is a story about a dog that has its own routine. His routine is to build and build, day and night. And then one day he gets a little scent, that leads him to a cave of crystals, but there was a hill and he didn’t make it make it up! So Digger  rolls down the hill on the minecart and up and down other hills and soon he finds a new routine!

I love An Extraordinary book Because it describes the so very many things you can do with it. The illustrations are pictures that you can use to play with the book like a toy. Like a hat you can put on your head, or a piano you can pretend to play. You can do silly things and imagine you are actually doing it because this book has such fun pictures!

I also like What Do You See because it shows what you can see differently out of normal things like different objects or things. And i love how it rhymes, and it uses descriptive words!

My favorite book to read was An Extraordinary Book because I got to use the book for fun activities.  Like use it for a hat from the book and put the book up to your head so it is like you are wearing the hat. That is why I love An Extraordinary Book!

My mom recently interviewed the Author, Angela Ferrari, on the FamilyPreneur Podcast. You can listen to the interview at MegBrunson.com/13. You can find more information about the StorySpectacular Podcast and buy these great books at storyspectacular.com/.
